Amazing attractive unexplored beach Varkala

Kerala tour packages

Silence, cliffs and everlasting seas-this is a mix that people believe can only be found in movie sets or ancient portrayals of humanity. Yet this magical backdrop at Varkala is a reality. Varkala Beach is a local favorite due to the natural rock formations that have for centuries amazed visitors here. As well as being the only beach in Southern Kerala where cliffs are located adjacent to the Arab Sea, the Geological Survey of India declared its famous "Varkala Formation" as a geological monument, in reference to the rocks. An exotic beach resort vibe sans the usual hullaballoo of the experience will welcome you at all times.  Look into the hilly pikes' eyes, and see the behemoths react to your scrutiny. Those images sent a lot of people on a happy trance and we welcome our guests to show the magic of this natural wonder.

Location: 51 km north of the town of Thiruvananthapuram, in the district of Thiruvananthapuram and 37 km south of Kollam, south of Kerala.

At the outskirts of the district of Thiruvananthapuram lies Varkala, a peaceful and quiet hamlet. It has several tourist attractions including a beautiful beach, a 2000-year-old Vishnu Temple and the Ashramam-Sivagiri Mutt a short distance to the beach.

The Papanasam Beach (also known as Varkala Beach), ten kilometers from Varkala, is renowned for its natural spring. Which is considered as having medicinal and curative properties? It is believed that a dip in the holy waters at this beach purges the body of impurities and the soul of all sins; hence the name 'Papanasam  Beach'.

The Janardhanaswamy Temple, a two-thousand-year-old shrine stands on the cliffs overlooking the beach, a short distance away. Also nearby is the Sivagiri Mutt, which was built by the great religious reformer and philosopher Sree Narayana Guru (1856-1928). The Guru's Samadhi (the final resting place) attracts thousands of devotees every year during the Sivagiri Pilgrimage Days-December 30th through January 1st. The philosophy was propagated by Sree Narayana Guru: "one caste, one religion, and one god," in a world torn apart by the caste system tables.

Varkala offers excellent tourist accommodation and is rapidly becoming a popular health resort with many Ayurvedic Massage Centers. Attractions: the sand, the springs of mineral water, the Sivagiri Mutt and a Vishnu Temple, 2000 years old. most of Kerala tour packages include this stunning spot you can enjoy through the best Kerala trip packages.
